In Australia, we are finding out about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, ART and Maths). Primary school children are learning how they can experience important scientific concepts such as 'sustainability' through the Arts. Using imagination, active drawing and digital language skills, the children are learning how to 'love our planet'. The children initially draw elements from their imagination that were precious to them on the school playground and then they videoed the images and transported them into collaborative 4-D videos of the experience. Each year group enjoyed walking and playing through the process voicing it made them feel connected and happy!
Thank you to Maria Regina Catholic School and their students (K-6) and Dr Tim Kitchen, Senior Education Consultant for Adobe Asia Pacific who assisted with the video of this project.
